This year our Managing Director Peter Costantini supported Diabetes Tasmania on a three day, 340km charity bike ride.
This annual PolliePedal is in its 15th year since it was founded by former Senator and now State Minister Guy Barnett together with Diabetes Tasmania.
The ride covered the beautiful Tasmanian landscape through the north west of the State. The ride started from Wynyard on day one for a 145km ride up through the hinterland to the picturesque township of Yolia, then back down to ride the wonderful coastline to Ulverstone before heading inland to finish up at the base of the Mount Roland Regional Reserve. The 100km day two started with a climb to the top of the Mountain, travelling though the extraordinary Mersey River Conservation Area before descending down to pastoral, wine, truffle and cherry country around Deloraine. Day three saw the 21 strong group ride 95kms through some of Tasmania’s most productive farming land until they reached the historic town of Longford - just a short distance to Launceston.
